How to remove wax

Clay bar doesn't always remove wax. Most of the time yes, but depending on the aggression of the user and clay bar, it really varies.
Dawn strips wax... for sure
Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) denatures wax too. That's why people use it on places where wax gets stuck. It dissolves and removes wax.
No wax lasts 3-5 months. Some sealants have trouble lasting that long!
Yes, bits of wax will come off every time you wash your car, but sometimes, depending on the wax, the wax will already be gone.
Again, I'm not trying to be an ***.

Wax Removal....?
I knew when I saw this thread that someone would recommend using dish
washing detergent. (dawn) Anyone that knows anything about detail work
will tell you NEVER use detergent....believe them!

^ +1. Dawn is mostly frowned upon because it dries the trimming on vehicles if used consistiently but shouldn't be an issue for the yearly detail. ISA wipedown is good for removing wax and is cheaper than purchasing Prepsol to do it for you. You can also use a cleaner wax like KAIO to remove wax. Clay is not always effective and you can't use it to remove polishing oils during polishing.
