Faded spots on window trims

Faded spots on window trims

The window trim along the rear windows on my coupe have faded spots.
What's the best method/product to restore this or at least make them less noticeable?

Is that rubber or metal? Use a trim cleaner first to get all dirt off. Then you can use either black wow or leatherique black rubber black dye.

It's rubber so I will try leatherique rubber black dye. Thanks!

Is the dye harmful on the paint? Should we do any masking?

The instruction say if it gets on the paint, just wipe it off. It can't hurt to use masking tape, but it's not really needed.
