The PC is extremely easy to use and its hard to permanently mess the paint up. Buy one and give it a shot.

pc is pretty much fool proof. I've done several cars and it definitely works. However, it isn't the most powerful machine so it takes a long time to do an entire car. It also vibrates a lot so your hands will get pretty chapped.

The Flex is another safe polisher more powerful andmuch smoother, but more expensive. This would probably take a couple hours off of doing your entire car.

A rotary would do your entire car in no time, but you can do serious damage to your paint if you are not careful. Don't let this scare you though. Just do some research and they easy to use with some practice.

After doing several cars with a pc, i've decided that I just can't do it anymore. It just takes too long and I'm always sore the next day. I'm going rotary. If you only plan on doing your car a couple times a year, the pc will be fine if you have the patience.

PC 7424 is extremely easy to use. I would do your G as a test subject. If you are really worried, go pick up a scrap hood or other panel from a local body shop to practice on.

If you get the PC, there's nothing to worry about. 5.5" orange and white pads with Menzerna polishes will give you great results!

I started out using the pc and didnt get any of the results i thought i would. So being the hard headed tech that i am i went at it again but still very little.I then decided to watch the videos and practice and found i was going to fast and never let the polish break down.
Just do yourself a favor and watch the vids and in no time you should be able to get good results..........just remember slow is good with the pc.

good advice superchargedg. This is why it takes forever to do a whole car with a PC. With time and effort, it really does work. If you have mild swirls, I highly recommend menzera's Power Finish. It is a good one step. Its too much work to do a 2 step with a PC.

whoa hold up!!!!!!!! dont just go running into your g armed with polish and a pc **** no, paint on my g is thin as hell,, the readings on my roof are 80-90microns which is low but on the hood they are as low as 50, thats why these g's get chipped so easy, if you polish away you run the risk of getting too thin on the clearcoat and it could start to fail and end up flaking off, trust me dont do it, ask a pros advice first there are prob some members on here who r detailers ask them first!!!!!!!

You normally want to wetsand to smooth out the orange peel. Then use a compound to polish then finish polish. won't be easy with a PC but doable.
