Hey guys, I'm looking to remove the INFINITI at the back of the G, just want the emblem... don't know why, I think it looks slicker that's way

Of the ones I seen, the cleanup is so flawless... are they that easy to remove? Or did you guys have to repaint and all that? Were there INFINITI shadows after the pieces were removed?

Thanks!

use your fingernails to remove them. but be careful not to scratch the car... just need to remove the sticky glue that held the letters on, take it to a carwash place and they can use a special type of clear liquid wax stuff that melts it off... i did it this way...
it VERY easy and simple to do!
ps:some people say to use a hair dryer on hot to melt the glue before removing the letters, but i dont think it helps, try it anyways.

Try some dental floss and just "saw" off the letters. The floss will cut through the adhesive. After that you can use Goo Gone to remove the excess glue. Just remember to wash and wax that area after you are done. I did this to remove the "G35" from my car and it worked great. No paint damage.

Right on _cru! I was going to suggest the same method.

Just be sure to wear good gloves so you don't accidentally
amputate the end of a finger.

Take your time! If the car is really new then you might not
get any phantom lettering anyway, but warm soapy water
and a soft clothe can get the remaining glue off as well, and
then you should still hit the area with wax.

I scratched my trunk with my fingernails and a microfiber cloth. WD40 also works for the adhesive.

Ditto on the dental floss, wash and wax afterwards and you're good.

True, WD40 is a good remover of adhesive. Goo Gone has that refreshing orange scent, LOL.

Is it possible to remove the Infiniti logo? I removed the the "infiniti" letters but when I got to the logo, it seemed like it was bolted on. Is it?

I did a little searching and apparently the Coupe's logo is not bolted on by the Sedan's logo is bolted on. Go figure...

Re: How easy are those INFINITI letters to remove?
just a tip or three...

1. Let the car sit out in the sun for several hours (INFINITI logo facing the sun)
2. Use dental floss with a wax coating.
3. Make sure to wax any areas immediately after you remove the glue. This part of your car is newly "naked" and you don't want it fading or looking bad as a result of poor care.

I did the removal on my old honda, IMO I like the way the factory INFINITI looks so I'm going to keep it, for now.
