Detailing Car, Need Advice on My List of Products
Hey guys I just got a UDM and I'm in need of products to start!
http://www.autopia-carcare.com/udm-1000-na.html
This will be the first car I detail. The car is a 06 Obsidian Black
I have looked around and compiled a list
Here are a few things I have in my shopping cart
1. Poorboys SSR1 (do I need SSR 2? SSR2.5?) or Menzerna SIP and 106FF
2. Poorboys Black Hole for dark vehicles
3. Poorboys EX-P (I assume I need this because its pure sealant w/o carnuaba since the nattys has that.)
4. I already have Natty's Blue wax/NXT Tech Wax ( After glaze/sealant wait 24 hours to apply wax?)
Pads (don't know which size to get for the UDM I have)
1. for the ssr1, orange cutting pad? white polishing pad?
2. black hole ( dont' know what pad for this glaze)
3. EX-P (dont know)
4. Grey finishing pad for the nattys?
Thanks for any help you guys can give!

I think you would be better off with menzerna SIP and 106FF and i would get 3 pads of orange and white.Get the 6.5" and a set of 4" pads with a backing plate for the 4" setup as the 4" pads will correct faster.
To apply wax after sealent yes wait 24 hours and a grey finishing pad is fine for the nattys.

Got "Shiny?"
I hate to
but look at all the products you're buying not to mention the
time involved applying them. I can get better results with my 3 step system
and it will only take me 2 hours....twice a year. The rest of the year I just
apply the wax after washing. Sure I have a buffer but only use it when I
discover a scratch I can't remove by hand. My process is the following....
Zymol clay & detail spray (lots of it)
Zymol cleaner (smells like chocolate milk)
Zymol Concourse wax (wax is applied the old fashioned way by hand)
All these items can be purchased direct or I buy mine from California Car Cover in Northridge.
I'll be glad to compare finishes when you're ready....

What a lot of people dont understand is that Menzerna is intended for rotaries. The UDM won't create enough heat for the polish to break down. I'd go with the DA approved polishes from Megs
With 4" pads menzerna does work but it is a long process.I have a rotary and a flex3401 and couldnt imagine using a pc again.
I use the rotary to do the correction and finsh of with the flex.
