I have Work Wheels and I use Meguirs Gold Class shampoo and conditioner car wash and I clean them by hand no mits or sponges or whatnot that might scratch them. So far so good and I also use Wheel Wax which is really good as it makes it easier to clean and maintain.

coat of sealant? are you talking about sealant product and wax? And I dont use anything to clean the lips, I used mit to clean the spokes and I just use my hands to clean the lips. Splash plenty of water on it and gently wash the lips by hands. And also, can I just use my car wash + water to clean the wheels? and after that, I wax it with either sealant product or wax, just like you said to protect them with a good coat of sealant.
