I'd guess I got 90% of the swirls out. Really happy with this result. I may look into a filler to cover the rest, as I'd be happy going this direction with what is left to preserve clear/base that is there.

I am open to suggestions on good filler products. I have good sealants and wax, but maybe could use a combo finish polish filler combo, or straight filler product.

Nice work on that detail, certainly a big difference between those before and after pictures. What product and pad combo was used to get those results?

Keep in mind products that fill will not fill deeper imperfections unfortunately. They are better at hiding the minor light imperfections to save you from polishing them away. Glazes can help increase the depth and gloss and you may experience some minor filling, but chances are those marks would still be there under the same lighting.

Hi George, Thanks for the (+) feedback, Greg has been super patient and helpful with me there at DI. Keep up the good work! Summary of my process:
Dishsoap wash & Clay'ed.
4" LC pads with a loaner PC
Yellow/Menz SIP
White/Opt. Polish (I)
Hand Applied M-seal (2 coats for pics then had some time the next day and put another one on)

I appreciate the info on filler, sounds like I will save the time and cash, and just follow up with proper washes and the sealant or the PB QW+ that I haven't tried out yet. Thanks Again

Looks great man, def took out a good amount of swirling. Keep up with it and you will be very happy. Those guys at DI are great. I can't stop buying their products either haha. You guys must love seeing my name on those order forms by now.

GB115 yeah, I got bit by the detail bug. After completing this project I added becoming a mobile detailer as potential retirement jobs haha (others on the short list limo driver, consultant). If I am lucky I will get to make a final choice in about 20 years, but the way my 201K is now and everything else, prolly longer, lol.

 

wow... nice done with your polishing! I have a same color as you.. and have a question, what stuff did you use? I'm getting into detailing as well and trying to figure out what I need to get.
