What kind of pressure washers do you use?

im kind of skeptical of using a 2000+ PSI pressure washer in fear of tearing up the paint where there are small scratches and chips.

i know we have soft paint and all so i wanted to know what you guys are using.

Have you ever felt what the pressure is like 3 ft. away from the nozzle? Its pretty much nothing when using the widest attachment. 2500 psi is fine.

I sometimes use my troybuilt 2500psi with a foam cannon. Wash then rinse with the pressure washer using the automobile nozzle.

It doesn't make all that big of a difference how many psi you use. What makes the difference is how close the nozzle is to the actual car.

Optimum No Rinse here. I only use 4 gallons of water and the car looks great.

I use a Honda 2500 PSI, but than again I also detail other peoples car so it makes the job easier and you can blast certain places of the car that the hose can't, like our undercarriage and so on. You can use a pressure washer just don't put it so close to the cars paint, and if your wheels are are clear coated than don't get to close to your wheels either.
