Hey everyone,

I have a coupe (so only 2 power windows) and they both have these nasty rubber streaks on the outside of them from the rubber strip along the bottom of the window. I cleaned the windows and tried cleaning the edge of the strip with the window down but they came back. it doesn't always happen, but doesn't seem to happen in any certain weather condition (i.e., it happens in the rain, in 90 degree weather, etc). I'm supposed to get tints on friday and am not sure if this will cause a problem? Has anyone else had this problem and knows of a fix? or knows if it could mess up a tint job, or if the tinter could take care of it?

check deep inside ur door and see if any of the weather stripping is bent or curled under - i had that problem AFTER i had my tints done - but it was a pain to uncurl the weather striping - show ur tint guy first maybe he can do something for ya

Take it to the dealer. Infiniti issued Technical Service Bulletin # 03-021 on April 3rd.

 

Is there any info on the web about this? I couldn't find anything.

I have the same issue, think the Service Bulletin # 03-021 on April 3rd only deals with grease streaks, and from what I'm seeing its the weather stripping melting along the edges.

 

yeah that TSB is only for the grease streaks...

something is up with yours, take it to the dealership to get it looked at

I just noticed mine is finally starting to get it too...about 7500 miles or so.
