I've never tried this, but it seems like an ingenious device that has a motion detector which sprays the cat -- eventually the cat is supposed to get the idea that your car isn't a place to crawl up on...

I would probably lay a blanket on the car just to avoid any potential for problems.

Some really interesting ideas and products you guys have been coming up with. Now I have to decide which one to go with. The blanket on the hood would be a good idea protection wise, but I also don't want my hood to be extra comfy for these lil suckers, then they would never leave. Maybe I'll try the blanket idea with a health dose of ITCHING powder sprinkled all of over it... lol

See, I am feeding off your great ideas and adding a little bit of my own....

I have heard cayenne pepper works really well. Go buy a couple bottles of it and when you park your car sprinkle it on the hood and roof. When the cats jump up there it will get on there feet. When they start to clean them selves very time they lick there paws, they get a lovly burning sensation from the cayenne pepper. I have heard they will stop getting on the car after they do this a few times.

Look on the bright side it will only cost $3-4 for 2 bottles of it, and it wont KILL the cat lol.

Cayenne, lmao! If you want to get it through their tiny little brains the first time, sprinkle a healthy dose of bhut jolokia aka the Ghost pepper on there.

Ok, that would probably get you a visit from the Animal Cops.... =(
