Name calling? Really? Anyway you are incorrect. The proper steps for a full detail any professional detailer would agree on basically goes like this...
wash
clay
polish
wash
seal
wax
I've got a solid reputation for the detail work I do, search this forum son and you'll see. I'm on most of the national boards regularly and I've never seen someone (that's an actual detailer) wash their car after they wax it. I'm not saying you can't do that, you can do whatever you want, but what's the point?? When you wax a car and using a QUALITY wax you only use a VERY LITTLE BIT so there would be no reason you would have "wax residue" all over the place to the point where you need to wash it. Now, you would wash after you polish but that's to make sure all the oils from the polish are gone so you can be sure you fully corrected the paint and didn't just fill or hide them. Once that's done you wax it and that's it. If you then wash it again, you're increasing the chances of introducing new marring or swirls in the paint so why would you take that chance when it's not necessary??
All I was trying to do was correct wrong info you were giving someone. In one of your posts you said "You could even clay it after the wax" and that info is 110% INCORRECT. If you clay after you wax, ALL the wax will come right off. So, I was just wanting to correct that because I'd hate to see someones work wasted on misinformation. If that brings you to having to call me a dumb *** then so be it. We'll see what other detailers say. If you doubt my credibility, I put some links below for you of cars I've detailed. You just might see I know what I'm talking about.

Because some of the things you're saying are just not right. With detailing there is room for opinions like which wax looks better than another or what polish cuts better etc. However, some of the stuff you're telling people is just plain wrong and then you resort to name calling because you don't like being corrected?? Mature. Years ago when I started detailing when someone tried telling me I was doing something wrong I welcomed the advice, I didn't call them names pretending that I knew what I was talking about.
