LOL I use sponges all day everyday when washing, and my and my customer's cars are still pretty swirl-free even over a year after they've seen a polish. I know a lot of other detailers who swear by a sponge too, I switched over from lambswool last year.

^ A normal Sponge traps dirt in the small holes and will scratch the paint. I would never touch one of those.

Glad your not having any issues, but there is no reason to use one when a Sheepswhool or MF Mitt is just as good.
