Re: carbon fiber hood
Supposedly not much lighter..people say only 5lbs but I have one sitting in my garage from VIS and I can tell you there is a nice weight difference there..the CF Hood is noticeably lighter. I'm waiting for the rest of my kit to get here to install it.

Re: carbon fiber hood
I believe Jason from Performance Nissan weighed the the 2 hoods when he installed his CF hood. Going on memory, 10 lbs was the difference. I'm not 100% sure about this data, might want to PM him on fresh alloy.

Re: carbon fiber hood
from a weight reduction standpoint is this even worth the aggravation? I mean you can get a 10lb reduction by taking out the floor mats and that's free. I've been thinking about doing the CF hood but $300-$500 for a 10lb reduction is just a waste IMO. I think the money would be better spent on a plenum or suspension.

Some people like the look of them too, just so you know :P.

I think they look slick on black, maybe even TB (havent seen one).

They look so stupid on light colour cars though. I can't stand white with a CF hood.
