Ants!

Some how ants have got into my car. They are little black ants that don't bite. I keep the car pretty clean and don't eat in it but I am seeing ants in the backseat. I put some ant traps down and it has killed some but I still see them. I also see a few on the outside of the car and have sparyed that area.

I think they are coming from behind the back seat. Is there away I can take the seats out or pull them down? I haven't seen any in the trunk. I have an 03 sedan.

I'm not sure if the 03 sedans are the same as the coupes, but on the coupes there are some tabs under the front lip of the seat that you just have to yank out. It feels like you are going to break it, but it comes out with a solid tug. I find it easiest to run my finger under the seat until i find each tab and yank at that spot.

I'd suggest vacuuming up the ones you see and spray all around the car and wherever they are coming from outside if you see the trail.

Get some of this from Home Depot or possibly WalMart.

Put a bit on a few of the cardboard cut outs that come with it and place them in different areas of your car.

I've used this stuff when I had some of them getting into the house and also when my brother had some getting into his car.

In both cases they the ants came, they ate, they didn't return

there is definitely something in the car attracting them. I would shampoo the carpets and seats.

Rip the car apart, and find where they are coming from. That is disgusting.

happend to me too!
not alot of them, but maybe 5 or 6 of them in the car.
they dont normally climb up the tires/wheels.
I saw my front bumper touching grass in the driveway and ants were getting in the car thro the grass. grass -> front bumper -> side skirt -> interior.
removing the "source" is the best way to keep them out.

I noticed a grassy branch of some fckn weed was touching my car. I looked closer and there were ants all over my passenger side. When I opened my trunk, they were inside my still damp "absorber" drying cloth. THere were a LOT of these mf's.. I punched as many as I could.
