Help polishing engine bay

Hey guys im loooking to start polishing things in my engine bay, for example my plenum and other various parts.

I know the step by step process thats involved as well as the time, i know what im getting into. The only help i need is the actual polishing compound that is needed. Can anyone point me in the right directiong of the compound that i should be useing? A link would be super helpful. Also any polishing wheels/disks that are good please let me know

Thanks everyone

Edit: How does this kit look?

That might work faster then by hand. I started off w/ sand paper and then the polishing stuff.

I would high suggest having someone who has professional tools and experience do this for you. You'll spend a ton of time doing it yourself and likely it won't come out as good as paying someone else to do it.

I recommend SxExCx (Sean) for the upper plenum, lower plenum, spacer, cam covers, VTC housings, throttle body, polished PS tank, polished overflow tank. If you aren't up for swapping your timing cover then tackle that yourself (will be a ton of time and work, but I've seen great results).

^Yeah I guess if you aren't driving your car for the next few months you can give it a shot, doesn't hurt to try (well actually it does your fingers will probably never forgive you...LOL).

That's about the same kit I used to do mine (after Sylvan Lake did most of the sanding). Helps if you have a die grinder to do the polishing, and an air compressor that can keep it running at a good speed.

I have that same compound stuff. You can get it at Lowes. I also bought a bench grinder and i have air tools with a die grinder for the high speed polishing. Plan on tackling this when i get some down time. Ive been researching and its more about the sanding and getting the metal smooth more then the polishing compound you use. Once again the old verbage its all in the prep.
