i have a black coupe, and was wondering is it okay to apply the wax with the supplied foam pad that they give you, or is this bad for the car?

Either one is fine. I use a foam or cotton pad to apply and a microfiber towel to remove the wax.

I second what G35girl said. The only time I used a cotton terry applicator was when I used the one that came with the Zaino. Although cotton towels may say they are 100% cotton, more often tan not, they aren't! I went for almost 2 years on my black G w/o a swirl mark until, for some dumbarse reason, I switched from a MF towel to a "100% cotton towel" to remove the Zaino! Yes it removed the Zaino a helluvalot easier, but SWIRL CITY!!!

I’m like G4me, I use foam to apply and µfiber to remove. Just be sure to follow g35girl’s advice.
