black G?

hi,
so what do you guys do to keep your black G looking great? i washed it yesterday and its pretty dirty already.. any waxes or stuff like that to recommend?

also, maybe im being too paranoid but i see fingerprints on the trunk, and by the door handles on the sides.. not sure if im the only one noticing them but what do you guys do to minimize those?

thanks

only touch the inside part of the handle when opening you door..
use the palm of your hand to close the door from the edge.. or use the sleeve of your jacket
............basically dont touch the surface of the paint
when closing the trunk use your sleeves.. or take out your wallet (assuming its leather) and use that to close your trunk.. lol iono but it grips..

as for cleaning..

Saturday..
1. Detailed wash with Meguiar
2. Wash again just to make sure I got everything off
3. Clean Rims and Tires.. I just use my car wash.. use to use rim/tire cleaner but its a waste of money (IMO) if u wash your car weekly.. you'll never build up enough dust that you cant remove..
4. I open the doors, trunk, and hood.. to clean the edges..
5. Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax is my choice of wax.. it gives it a mirror like shine.. its around $15 for an 18oz

then Tues/Wed I'll give it a quick wash (bout 30-40min).. only clean the rims if im not that tired..

All good advice, also use the California car duster daily when your car is clean, it will keep your black car from turning brown from the dust. Only use it for light, daily dusting, not if your car is dirty, otherwise you’ll scratch it. Good color choice!

I second the cali car duster. Use it every morning (takes about 2 mins) after a wash/wax until it rains or otherwise get your car wet. If that happens, you can do a quick wash and hit it with your favorite quick detailing spray (I use Zaino - amazing stuff). As long as the weather holds out, you can keep your car looking pretty damn good from wax to wax.

Black looks amazing when you use a Carnauba Wax on it. I recomend the P21S Carbauba Wax http://secure.detailedimage.com/Merc...gory_Code=P200 because it really enhances the gloss and depth of your black G. You can also use the Twins, Klasse All in One which really shines up the paint and then seal it in with some protection from the HGSG High Gloss Sealant Glaze. I'm running an amazing April special on these two products. You can get them both for $44 total and that gets you two free microfiber towels and two free microfiber applicator pads http://www.detailedimage.com/index.html ! I guarantee either of these plans will leave your G looking amazing.

To get the “perfect shine” (synthetic/natural synergy) on black/red cars, I highly recommend Klasse AIO and Pinnacle Souveran paste wax combo. (I have a red coupe).

Klasse-Pinnacle Souveran Kit
http://www.properautocare.com/klaskit.html
"If possible, let the car set overnight to give Klasse time to bond. I have waxed over Klasse immediately but I always felt I obtained better results giving the All-In-One time to set up. Do not use Klasse's companion product, High Gloss Sealant Glaze. While Pinnacle Souveran paste wax is magical over All-In-One, it doesn't like the Sealant Glaze. Waxing over High Gloss Sealant Glaze can produce hazy patches or ghosting."

The “Perfect Shine”

Note, for cars other than black/red, I’d top Klasse AIO with glaze and P21S wax.
