What's up with the window tint laws in NJ? Something about you not being able to tint the front windows, only the back and rear windows. I'm originally from Va, and currently in the military. This seems to be a NJ law, because when I was in Ga there was no restriction. Kinda makes me not want to tint my windows at all because I think it looks tacky to have just the back windows tinted. Yet there are times when I see some people from NJ with the fronts tinted as well. Does anybody know the NJ law concerning this? I'd hate to get pulled over to have my SH!* pulled off by state troopers.

I feel your pain. CA has the same restrictions as NJ. Although, I did run around CA here for 4-1/2 years in a TX-legal tint job on an Accord, and no problems. YMMV.

Yes its illegal, but everyone does it anyway. Since we don't have to get the cars inspected till 2007, who cares? I have 35% all around and live in Bergen County. Unless the cop is a d!ck or you get pulled over for something else, you don't have anything to worry about.

 

afr0puff, can you post a pic of your 35% tint? I live in NJ, and thinking about getting a tint anyway. BTW, my G is DG.

 

 

Thanks. It looks nice, maybe a slightly darker tint on the back will look nice. But this is great for NJ.
