Soap and Water with a good "scrubber"... I don't want any other crap near my rims! Forget that Simple Green stuff or any other "degreasing" products. IMO, they'll just eat away at the clearcoat on the rims.

go to walmart and pick up a scrubber its under $5.. works pretty well and lasts a while..

another way would be to go to home depot and go get one of those giant rough sponges and scrub with your remaining car wash

simple green is PH balanced i thought? I'm not sure why it would eat away at the clear coat.

If it indeed does, i better stop using it. But i'm pretty sure it doesnt.

You can get it at walmart. It's usually sold in concentrated form so you have to mix it with water as well. I bought a huge gallon jug of the concetrated stuff and i use it at home too to clean the kitchen. Works great and smells good.

hmm. i've also seen it at auto parts stores like pepboys and autozone. I would try pepboys first though, they have a lot more stuff.

Forget the fancy stuff and get you some Simple Green, not the automotive one. The regular one in the clear bottle. Wal-mart/ Sams club.

Hi 05GSedan,

I agree with the soap and water suggestion, but no hassle intended, Simple Green seems safe for most uses. Maybe not the most effective as a cleaner but safe enough. I buy undiluted Simple Green by the gallon at Costco and keep it in a spay bottle. You can spray it directly into your own eyes - don't ask - and it doesn't sting. I really would be surprised if it would hurt your rims.
