Question First Wax? When and What product????

I haven't waxed my G yet and want you all to let me know what product (Wax, Pads and Towels) to purchase to AVOID putting those micro "SWIRLS/FINE SCRATCHES" in the car.

I'm a huge car buff and have always used Mequiars Gold Glass on my Dodge Avenger, but after 10 years, the paint looks fantastic, but you can see those FINE SWIRLING MARKS.

I would really LOVE to Avoid this on the new G.

What products should I get??

Are there good buffing towels that don't scratch out there for me to grab up??

There isn't a thing that they sell that will scratch your car's paint.

I just got my Zaino kit a couple of weeks ago and love it. The stuff goes on really light and is easy to buff out. Plus the more layers you put down the deeper your finish looks. Its like looking at a mirror after only a couple of coats

Go with Zaino you won't believe how great your paint looks. As for swirl marks, use clean microfiber towels to take the Zaino/wax off. Use a micro fiber, waffle weave drying towel, as well as good drying mitt. Griots sells all of these and I would highly recommend them. Don't use the same brush/mitt you use on the paint as you use on the wheels. I like to avoid using a brush on any paint to avoid swirl marks.

You won't be disappointed w/ Zaino. I've just posted the instructions in another thread for a guy that was switching from CG. Check it out. Basically, wash off all existing "gunk" with Dawn (Blue), then Z7 (shampoo), Z1/ZFX (Show Car Shine prep), then Z2 (polish) as many times as your arm can handle.
The thing with Zaino is that you don't use circular motions, thus, no swirl marks. up/down, back/forth is what Sal Zaino says which brings out the best shine. Don't hesitate to email Sal Zaino directly, he responds personally too.
Good Luck!

Sweet, can't wait to order my kit.

I heard that you can put like 50 applications of Z2 (off Zaino website of 350Z with a sign next to it that reads "50th App" or something like that)

Crazy....

I can't wait to get my Skyline looking like a Silver Mirror.

Thanks!

When you're done with your 50th, can you do the remaining 47 on mine too?!?
Seriously, Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6, you get the picture. Just remember, Zaino chemically bonds to the car's finish, so you want to make sure the car is clean before you apply the Z2 (which is why you use Z6 between applications, as well as the deep finish).
Have Fun!!!
