What is the material on the area the pen has hit?
I think I have an answer for you but I just want to be sure what part you are talking about. Different materials can sometimes require very different cleaners.
p.s. be careful with the glass cleaner, their can be chemicals in there that can really damage leather and other parts of the car

Gotcha thanks for the response.
One product should be able to clean both of them, I've gotten just about all stains out of vinyl, plastic, leather, etc with the 303 Aerospace Cleaner. This is an industrial strength cleaner that can and should be diluted. It's safe to use on the above mentioned surfaces and much more. I apply it with a microfiber towel and that usually takes care of it. If this doesn't work I can also recommend that use the Leatherique Prestine Clean to atleast treat the leather. There are two steps in the Leatherique process but you should only need this one to get it out. Leatherique is by far the best leather cleaner that I've ever used. If for some reason this doesn't help please let me know and hopefully I can help you. I have some other steps you can do but this should do it.

This person cleans banks and doctor's offices. "I have used anti-bacterial hand gel with great success. Rub it into the ink and go do something else leave on the ink for about 5-10min. rub off with soft cloth or whatever cleaner you normally use. I've also removed permanent marker from countertops with it, adhesives, and chewing gum from a carpet. It will also remove black shoe marks from tile floors, and scuff marks from walls. I now keep a bottle with me at all times and when you're done cleaning you can use it on your hands."
Here is another one about ink off leather: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf508696.tip.html
just wanted to let you know that I have a 2003 Lexus with a crème color interior. The other day I found a red ball point pen mark across part of the front seat. Not sure how it got there but nevertheless I was upset.
Did not have any hairspray so I used the 70% Isopropyl alcohol solution and IT WORKED!!
