Remove Pinstriping
#2
Done it several times, I use a blow dryer to heat it up and that loosens it significantly, should be enough to peal it right off. Sometimes I use the 3M adhesive Remover (found at any hardware store) to remove the stripe and the residue. You can also use mineral spirits, WD-40 but that works best IMO.

A G with pinstriping. Never seen that before, but definitely remove it. I can't imagine it looking that great. Punchit is right: heat from a blow dryer and some sort of adhesive remover. Be sure to polish and wax after removing the pinstriping to protect the area that never was protected.

Good point I forgot to add that you should polish the area with a medium to mild abrasive polish after to blend it in. The Poorboy's World SSR 2.0 or 1.0 should be perfect for the job. After you've polished the area I would protect it with a sealant instead of a wax because of their increased durability.
