custom interior?
Sorry but I cross posted this on Fresh alloy. Just thought I'd ask here too.

As much as I love the coupe I still can't get over how cheap the interior materials and plastics are. The seats are great but seriously...my mazda protege has higher quality plastics for christs sake! The coupes' plastic panels and dash are hard and texture is rough. I was wondering if any of you folks would know what's involved and the costs of getting at least the door panels maybe covered in leather by a custom interior shop. Are we talking like several thousand or a couple hundred bucks? The dash would be hard to do I guess but I think the doors should'nt be too hard right? Think they could put like some high density foam cushioning under too? I'm actually surprised nobody here has asked the question before since so many of us complain about the interior materials. I saw a video of the stillen supercharged 350z and it had custom leather doors and numerous ricer cars with custom dash and doors so I know it's possible but how much???

Hey Anything is possible with custom interiors, it all depends on how much you want to spend, and how long you want your car to be in the shop.
i dont complain about the interior because i dont think its cheap at all. not everyone shares my opinion, but i just cant see why all of the magazines say that its cheap. ITS NOT! IT LOOKS GREAT!

Well I'm at least going to try to get the door panels done. I really think they skimped on both the dash AND the door panels. As I was walking home through the parking lot I peeked into a Saturn and noticed that even IT had friggin leather lined door panels!!! Ours are hard cheap rough tacky plastic. It's just not fair!!!
