Cleaning leather and interior
What should I use? I tried Mcguire's and the crap leaves a bit of a shine, which I do NOT want... even though the ****$uckers say that it won't on the bottle. Should I just spray with water and wipe? But I do what something that will protect and keep the leather soft. Help!

Somewhere on the website you can fill out a form to get a free sample. I got mine in the mail yesterday, but have not tried it out yet. I am prob. going to use it on the dash and not the leather. I will go with either lexol or zaino for that.

Lexol works GREAT, very easy to do, too
I use it on my willow seats, all dirt comes off in a snap, the conditioner is very nice, makes the leather very soft and comfy! no oil residue (not shiny) a little bit goes a long way with lexol conditioner.
I bought it from Murrays Auto, $8 for shampoop, and $8 for conditioner
not a bad deal, this will last me for 3 years probably
I'm sure you can get it cheaper elsewhere though, Murrays is the most expensive autoparts retailer.

Re: Cleaning leather and interior
The guy who details my parents cars weekly, for 30+ years, and mine, alonside plenty of $100,000+ cars throughout miami has told me that a little little amount of ivory soap and water on a nice microfiber cloth works really well, followed up by a wipe with a clean wet microfiber cloth!
Hope this helps...

DO NOT DO WHAT ERICINMIA SAID
Reason: Leather is like human skin, after taking a shower or washing with soap, your skin is dry, and thus needs a conditioner (to moisturize). That is why you need a 2-step process for leather. Same concept here.
When you use a cleaner, it actually strips the leather of some of its oils. The conditioner will safely replenish the oils to help keep the leather from drying-out. With Lexol, the leather comes out very very soft with no oil residue! thats the beauty of Lexol!

Re: Cleaning leather and interior
i just use the cleaner whenever the leather gets dirty, i have willow, so the dirt is very visible. It seems like after 3 months is a good time to use the cleaner (i've had the car for 3 1/2 months now)
I'm assuming you only need to use the conditioner after you use the cleaner. Or maybe once more in the summertime because of extreme heat.
Then again, it all depends on where you live and where you park. Mine stays garaged, so the leather wont crack anytime soon.

Hey Rambo Buddy know the product before you bash ...
Let me esplain for you...
This guy leonard washes exclusive cars like the new v16 caddie, among others; for three decades now. This is his means of living, driving from home to home everyday washing peoples cars, he knows his stuff!
If you don't want that slick slimy surface than this is what he says one should use, it removes no oils and doesn't harm the leather! or and other surface in the car; unlike some of those other cleaners out there. Ivory is made to be very very gentle on skin (leather!) and were only talking about a little litlle amount of it on a wet cloth.
Bro, there is no need to bash unless you have tried it! or seen it first hand! I could prob. compile a list of interior cleaners some of my buddies have tried that have left their car smelling funcky, slick and slimy, and ruined some surfaces, ie. the plastics. "Leonard's" method of cleaning the interior works the way he does it in 30 years no complaints, He does use some sort of conditioner afterward only on cars that need it like collector's old vintage cars that already have OLD leather!
P.S. My leather is soft and supple, softer than the day i got it, and it is clean non shiny, and not slimy or smelly!
