Re: Window Tint IInstall
I assure you that it is 35% and that my camera is very accurate, of course how dark a window looks will depend on lighting conditions, time of day, angle, etc. etc. My wife was waving at some friends through it yesterday and they couldn't see her, so I think it is dark enough....

Yes, it was a matter of pushing down and pushing towards the back of the car *i think* or pushing down and pulling towards the front. As you can see in that one picture there are clips that hold the unit in, it is a matter of compressing the clips in the right direction so it pops out. Let me know which way it was when you get it out.

You can think of it this way.....the % is the amount of light let in.
I'm not saying this is true, but its a good way to remember that the lower the number, the darker the tint.
I have 6% on my back window and rear doors, and 13% on my front doors. I've only been pulled over once, and that was by a State Police officer who told me my windows were too dark and to be careful when I go thru small towns because a small town cop is more likely to pull me over and ticket me. The Statey let me go...I got lucky, he saud he wouldn't ticket me because it was New Year's eve.
I had to find another place to get my car inspected because my mechanic wouldn't do it anymore. He said the windows were too dark, but you can still see inside the front. The rears are pretty hard to see in unless you get light coming in thru the front window.
If I had to do it again, I'd go with something in the low to mid 20's on all the windows. That's what I'm planning on for my G.

KenDude, what's the deal with the stuff that's dripping down the inside of your doors? I hope those aren't chemicals. Even if it's just water, you'd think they could tape a few paper towels up there or something.
