Scuffs on Clear Coat

I have a small spot where I can see very light scuffs on the clear coat. It isn't really swirl marks. It's kind of like swirl marks in a sense that it isn't really deep. It's a small patch that something must've slightly rubbed against. I can only see it if I look at the spot in an angle to allow light to reflect off of it. Is there any cleaning solution that I could do to fix this problem? Thanks.

Probably need a polish I remove scuffs with Poorboy's World SSR 2.5 followed by the SSR 1.0. This removes just about any scuff that can be taken out. Really easy to work with and a great shine, can't go wrong.

Before going to an abrasive, I would try clay. If it truly is a scuff, there is probably something sitting on the surface and the clay will remove it. If it is a series of scratches, a light polish would be my first suggestion. If that does not work, go up a notch until you end up with a swirl remover if needed. As of this weekend, Menzerna FP is my favorite for removing defects from ultra-soft clearcoated cars.

If you really want to go to a swirl remover, a stronger polish like the Menzerna IP or FP can be had at www.properautocare.com. A true swirl remover like Poorboy's can be had at www.poorboysworld.com. On the PB stuff, I would think that you would not want to go any more abrasive than SR2. I use 2.5 on harder clear and it works quick. With the SR/SSR line, you just have to remember to work them long enough as they break down as you work and thus finish cleaner.

Menzerna IP and FP works well to remove swirls, but don't use it too much because it is very strong.
