If it's new I use a quick detailer (any will work), and a microfiber towel. Some decent qd's available locally are Megs Final Inpsection, Mothers quick detailer, Eagle One's qd...

If it's dried up I hit it with some goo gon/bug tar remover/bird poop remover, let it sit for a minute, then spray with a hose - then wipe away with a quick detailer and access the damage.

I use a mixture of Poorboy's Spray and Wipe and Long Haul Truck Gloss.

I usually first try saturating it with Spray and Wipe. If that does not work, I go to Poorboy's Bug Squash. Just note that you will need to reapply your wax/sealant after using any bug/tar remover.

Damn good thing cows don't fly..............

Bird crap is easy to remove, but first you should know all bird types eat gravel/sand. Sooo......
wash to b/c off with water, don't rub it off. And if
you can always remove b/c before it drys, less
chance of the acid hurting your clearcoat. Then you
can apply a cleaner/wax combo to protect your paint.
