What to do about scratches after debadging.
What to do about scratches after debadging.
I debadged, and it looks great. Except in a very specific light. If the sunlight is at the right angle, you can see where the lettering used to be along with some very fine swirls where I used goo be gone and a towel to remove the remaining glue.
Any ideas how to get rid of the swirls etc? Is there some kind of buffing regime that I can do?

clean the area w/ alcohol. i assume that w/ enough polishing, the remnants should go away.
the swirls will always be there. if they are light, ample amounts of z5 should fill and hide them nicely. if you want them removed, you will need to have them buffed out. if you plan on getting the car detailed at some point, then go w/ the z5 route. oh, and switch to microfiber while your at it.

You could always try 3m swirl mark remover. That should get rid of the scratches/swirls.
