hey folks,

i recently recieved my colgan custom bra, and decided to put it on today. it took a tad bit of tugging/stretching to get it to fit. but after that's said and done, it fits like a glove. not bad for $80 shipped if you ask me...

Re: colgan custom bra
TK, where did you get it? I had a Colgan on my Maxima and was very happy with it (replaced the one I bought from Nissan... it sucked, fit very poorly). But... I paid $100 for the Colgan. Please tell me where to go for the $80 one?

Oh yeah, I prefer to think of it as a "nose mask" not a "bra", hehe.

maximafia,

i picked mine up from autoanything.com. they have the original one for $90 (the same price as strictlyz.com), but when i purchased it, they also had a $10 coupon. shipping was free, so it ended up being $80. if you search the deal sites periodically, i'm sure another coupon will turn up.

heh - nose mask

Hey tkman00,

How long did it take for you to receive the bra? I just placed an order, and it looked like a 2-3 week lead time...

Re: colgan custom bra
yeap, mine took about that long. mine was dropshipped straight from colgan. so i'm guessing that they are made to order.

Yeah, I just paid $120 for the Nissan bra.. I'm still fighting to get the damn bottom piece on. It does not fit very well and its very cold outisde so I'm sure that is not helping.

Is the Colgan bra two piece?

Re: colgan custom bra
Installed mine ('04 Sedan) Saturday....fits like a glove, great quality, $89.00, one week delivery (free). Call Jim at The Auto Toy Store. Jim even called me back to make sure I got it. Nice folks to do business with, cares about their customers. Check out the web site....good looking seats too. BTW....I've had 4 diff Colgans since '85 and none better!

Re: colgan custom bra
well i finally got a chance to really use the bra. i went on a 6hr road trip this past weekend. i just took it off and found that there were no scratches. the bottom of the front was full of little dead bugs. what surprised me was what was under the bra when i took it off. i found pollen, and very small broken up leaves.

i was kinda shocked that stuff had gotten under the bra, but like others have said, these types of bras are not meant for long term use. i'd assume that if i had hit some heavy rain, i'd probably be crying right about now.

for those of you that decide to go w/ this, make sure the surface of your car is clean and has a fresh coat of wax when putting the bra on. at the same time make sure that the felt side of the bra is clean.

if someone has any recommendations on how to keep the underside free of debris, i'm open to suggestions.

Re: colgan custom bra
I agree. I purchased my bra and mirror covers from Jim last week, and just picked it up today. Quick, great service!

Delivery was very prompt, and the product appears well-made.

I will try it out tomorrow when we head down to Seattle and Portland for the U.S. Thanksgiving.
