The stock windows have UV-protection coating. Not quiet a tint. Just tinted my windows 2 days ago...18% all around. Though 35% would be legal in Hawaii. 18% ain't that much darker...maybe due to the material of the films. I'm happy with it...hope the p i g s don't mind

 

Man I love Vegas....! Yeah it is hot as hell, but everyone out here has 5% on all the way around and never gets pulled over. I even see a good amount of cars with the front winshielf tinted. AHH ... The Good Life!

 

Well...guess thats a vegas thing...heh! P i g s are too busy gambling i guess...lol!

I had to paint the factory dot matrix at the top of the back window because the good tint wasnt plyable enough to stick between the dots.any one else with this problem?It does look nice now with limo on top of dark tint.

anything but factory tint on the front windows including windshield is illegal in nj. as far as i know, cops are not allowed to pull you over just for tint. you have to be speeding or something for them to pull you over, and then they can give you a ticket for tint. but sometimes that doesnt stop them.

 

03G35Black, do you know for sure that they can't pull you over just for tint? I need to have that as an evidence by my side, in case I get pulled over.

what part of jersey you from? i live right across the george washington bridge in bergen county. usually in this area cops don't care too much about your tints since people from ny come all the time. BUT it is illegal to have your driver and pass windows tinted at all. you can tint everything but those two and your windshield. if you go up north of this area, cops pull you over right away if they see dark tints on your front windows.
my friend had 15% in the winter and drove around that area with his windows down so he doesn't get a ticket. talk about COLD.
even though its illegal, my dealer is going to recommend me to a guy who can tint the two driver and pass windows for me.
i want 20% but i'm afraid of getting TOO many tickets so i'm thinking about 35%.

 

as far as I know, in nj they can't. but its not something that you could argue, because they will just make something up. they'll say you were swerving or something like that. so even though they arent supposed to, they do it anyway. they do it because we are an easy target.. they know we will just pay the fine and be done with it.

 

im from central jersey, but i work in newark. i used to go to that big park right by the gwb. beautiful view. and i know all about driving with my windows down in the winter. brrrrrr. but they can't stop me cause my seats are hot.
