Hey Will, you don't need a gun when you got 2 of these!

Bass Pro Shops and not sure where the classroom portion is just yet. I'll probably get a Glock for my personal weapon and in the car. Looking for a shotgun at home.

I've had mine in TX for 2 years. Took the class @ Carter Country. The instructor was a blast.

yes repost, but for a good reason! Seen you repost many times as well. but if having firearms makes you feel like a bigger man then so be it! Like i said before, never needed a handgun and was raised in Oak Cliff. That's why you get the fist!

Owning a firearms has nothing to do with "Feeling like a bigger man". I was raised shooting guns on 30 acres of land.

Don't worry,

I have 3 older brothers, and we all beat the $hit out of each other. I never look for a fight, but I can stand on my own 2 feet.

Try Again.

trust me, not worried about you at all. most people purchase a gun for safety reasons, if someone is stealing your goods let'em. Insurance will cover, no life is worth a deductible. if someone has you at gun point, what are you going to do, pull your gun afterwards? good luck on your gun fight! i never looked for trouble, but when it did come around then you can walk away or stand up. if you got a good @ss whoopin' take it like a man. never believed in guns, never needed one.

Hey Will,

Just took my class a month or so ago, and i'm currently waiting on the state to process my paperwork and send my licence.

Congrats on deciding to take the class, its an awesome responsability having a CHL.

I was taught that when it comes to choosing a firearm, the best bet is to go with what feels the most natural in your hand. That way in a critical situation its something your comfortable using.

That being said, I would suggest a Springfeild Armory XD
It has double safetys, vs the glock's one.

You get a lot of choices from 3" barrel sub compact, to a 5" service model.
All for around $450-$500.

The sig is a great gun as well. Little more money.
GL, i'll post up more later, gotta go to work..

To me it's not about being a chicken ish and not being able to fight or take it like a man. It's about protection of my family. If something threatens my loved ones, I want to be able to forcefully take care of the situation. If 5 guys break down my door in the middle of the night, I won't be huddled in the corner fearing for my life.

That being said, where does everyone shoot at? I've been to the Bass Pro Shops range before. Might check out something closer to home for routine practice.

OMG, you have a better chance on getting struck by lighting twice in your life than that happening. Ok, say 5 guys DO break into your house in the middle of the night. You shoot one then you shoot another, trust me, you wont be able to get them all. Sorry to say but they'll bum rush you and probably make it worse on you and your family. Having a higher % of that happening to me in the "hood", guess what, that never happened or to my neighbors. Geez most americans are running around in fear! No offense will.
