Utec / VQ Tuners in the Dallas Area

Hey guys,

I did some searching and some calling around looking for a UTEC tuner that knows the VQ motor. Let me know if i'm missing anyone in the Dallas Area.

1. FIS - Knows UTEC, no experience with VQ
2. Jotech - Does not tune UTEC
3. Scarab Performance - No clue what they can do
4. Cobb Racing - Lots of experience with VQ, AccessPort only?
5. T1 - Tony - ??
6. Anyone else?

Thanks!

Waijai always talks the world about Chris Macallero and I know he does UTEC.

I would ask Dan at Scarab if he feels comfortable with UTEC for whatever application you're doing.

Yeah there's a reason why I support him and his tuning ability. He's not some guy that works on cars and has learned to tune a few here and there. This guy TEACHES at EFI101 and instructs other elite tuners how to be better.

Give Chris a call ... he teaches at EFI101 and is now based out of DFW.

I had tuning work done by both Tony at T1 and Chris Macellaro and i can recommend both! They will both be able to get you hooked up.

Also, Cobb will do non-access port tuning as well. They bring in their experienced tuners from their other shops around the country, and have them rotating as far as I believe.

I could have used this Chris guy when my husband needed to get his car re-tuned with EFI Live and we couldnt find anyone in the DFW area that could do it. This sucks. All that work got written over.

Best bet is to call TurboXS for some tech support. Do you have power going to your UTEC when you run Hyperterminal?
