I've never had an issue w/ Blue Fish. My gf used to work there at the Greenville location.

Japanese: Tei Tei. If you don't mind spending the money, it's the best in Dallas.
Viet: Vy's Noodle House, it's in Bedford, but really good.
Korean: Chosun BBQ over off of Royal and 35. Great place.

Thai: Tamarind, Thai Noodle & Rice
Chinese: First Chinese BBQ, Kirin Court, Empress of China
Fusion: Howard *****, Rocc

Rocc: If you go with 6+ people on Fridays (maybe Saturday too, but unsure) and order entrees you get a complimentary bottle of Grey Goose (375 mL). I went last night and enjoyed the food and booze.

Tomo and Benihana are both good. I also like Taste of Asia in Fort Worth.

Just curious if anyone has been to a place in this area that has Tonkatsu? I had it both times I was in Japan and loved it. I have not seen it stateside..

Here is a picture of the stuff that I had..

I've had tonkasu at Gen Ro Ku in Richardson/Garland (greenville N of Beltline there's an asian strip center). Very tasty stuff and their bentos are big and reasonably priced.
