News from COBB Plano
Update:
Well Cobb Plano was able to get it tuned and Stone that was my car lol. Well I can't really say it felt that much faster but I know the rev limter has been changed crazy to see it go up to 7K. I dyno'd 238WHP and 213WTQ base line with intake/spacer/hfc/ypipe and full 3 in back. Then they did the off the shelf map and it did 238whp and 219WTQ. Then they tuned and I got 245WHP and 221WTQ Air fuel was 14.5 all the way though mostly. Not bad I guess I was hoping for more with all my mods but I like that the AP does all the real time data logging that will be great for track days. Post up the dyno sheet when I get it scaned.

interesting results gents, thanks for keeping us up to date. definitely some interesting situations with the ECU's. the ECU's will take time to get used to the changes and they will adjust for even more opportunity for power gains (kinda odd). but as expected, sounds like they are still providing extremely top notch customer service
Those aren't bad gains. +7whp and +8wtq. Seems like it should be alittle better but now it's tuned to what you have and will run great now. I have the pop charger and the KRC (HKS clone) exhaust and I put down 233whp and 225wtq before the AP. They installed the stage 1 map and it feels better than before. More responsive. Chris said that it would take some time to feel the difference because of our ECU's. I'm getting the Z-tube delivered in a couple days and after I install it I'm going to have them do the tune. Your car sounded mean when I saw them doing a test run outside the shop.
Yeah I snuck away and got the AP and then told my fiance'. My credit card is now confiscated!!
I have an 05 silver coupe 5AT. I just got the Z-tube installed today and will schedule the tune for sometime this week. Maybe this rain will make the temps drop and will increase my gains!

That is funny, my wife hasn't tried that yet luckly. Normally my wife doesn't care about most things I buy like tools or electronics for the most part. But for my G she thinks I am making it worse by making it louder, in her words I am ruining the car. I did get her to say that I could buy the Vortech SC when our 08 Highlander is paid off so guess I will be paying extra payments on that bad boy.
That's what I keep telling her I knew yall would agree with me hehe. She spends her share of money but she kinda cheap so it's not nearly as much as most women and she works so I say that's fine. Of corse the stuff I want to buy and have bought for the G are not cheap at all and it runs up a cc real fast

and isn't usually a husband/bf stopping a wife/gf from spending too much on crap...

Yeah my fiance' doesn't mind when I buy little stuff and have cash for it, but when I buy stuff for my G it really is expensive and the only way to get this stuff is wait and save or splurge and use the Devil's card! I'm done for now though. I can't afford wheels, body kit, so I'm done for now. Sucks! My list of stuff is growing and my wallet is slowin! It's all good though. I feel like a P.I.M.P. in G
I know the feeling wanting stuff and not being able to buy it I really want a vortech sc but i need more
back to OP i think my car has gotten faster i took her on my favorite road it has lots of straights and switch backs it seems to pull harder out of the corners now, when i can keep my outside tire from spinning damn non lsd it can't be that hard to put one in can it?

I installed the MD 5/16 spacer on Friday and I can feel the difference. I also installed the Z-tube earlier the previous week and it just sounds louder in the upper rpm band. Okay so I go up to COBB this Sat. for my free tune and my day is ruined. If you look back in the thread you will see that for some reason my A/P thought my car was a manual shift sedan?!? I have an auto coupe. So after about an hour or so they have their software guy write a code so that my A/P thinks my car is what it is and everything works out fine and they install the stage 1 map. Good to go. Once their software guy writes the code and they use it for MY A/P they delete it off the site so no one else will mistakingly use it. Fine. Okay I can see why they would do that. Okay back to Sat. I go in for the tune and the first thing they do before the tune is take my A/P and Update it with the latest firmware (Fine with me). It needs to be updated every 2-3 months just in case there are add ons or revisions. They do this and it wipes out the custom code their software guy did for me and again the A/P thinks my car is a manual sedan!!! Being that it is a Sat. there software guy isn't at work and there is nothing they can do. They can't even change anything on my ECU because the coupe map is installed and the A/P thinks that it is trying to install on a different car. It won't do this so you can't buy the A/P and use it on multiple cars. So that sucks!!! The guy did however let me know that my car is running very lean and that under heavy load on a short dyno run (Not even to 5k rpm) that the AFR stayed above 14 and that it should be about 12 under heavy load. This could be taken care easily with the tune but the freakin A/P is crazy and won't let him change anything. So they tell me that they are sorry and that I should drive my car like a granny and that they will call me back on Tues. to have the A/P fixed with another custom code. I rescheduled for this Sat. for the tune. Now I will be driving my 07 gsxr600 to work for the week. Needless to say it was a very disappointing weekend with the news that the A/P isn't working right and my car is lean as Chi! I'll update on Tues. with what COBB has figured out.
Yeah, that stinks.... My car is tuned, but I am going back and forth with their support/software guys because I can't get the "Race" tuning software to work (they apparently don't have a version for the 09 sedan yet, although they thought they did). I should have the software soon, but that means I have to update to a beta version of firmware to use the "Race" software, and send them my custom tuned map so they can update it to run with the new beta firmware (and then reload it to my car). Just seems like a lot of work for something that should be simple.
Everyone at Cobb has been really cool and helpful, and I can appreciate that since these are the things I deal with everyday (I run the tech. support organization for my company, and we do all kinds of software and hardware support like this, but on a more global scale).
Overall, I like the AccessPort, but I wish they were a little better organized with the maps, firmware, and Race software.... I am sure it is a little difficult to keep up with, but I think they need to really be on top of that part of it. I know I don't want to take any chances on anything going wrong with my ECU because of a mistake on their end (or mine for that matter).

Is that your G37 with the gold wheels on the COBB forum?
Yeah it really does seem like a lot of trouble for something that is supposed to work exactly for my car and them tell me, Oh we have to fix this and then this and that the A/P THINKS my car is something else!
It was a lot of money for me and I'm still paying for it(Credit Card).Once I get the tune that is all I will really need.
I like the tuner, don't get me wrong. I'm just aggravated. I live 55mins. from the shop also, so it wasn't just up the block. Now I have to go up there on my fiance's B-day (she's not to happy) and miss out on the free awesome lunch I'm sure her mom would have paid for me.
Gotta do whatcha gotta do.
