as i recall, it's not possible. but why would you want to? it's easy enough to just reach down and push the button every time you start up. it's almost become habit for me.....

well i know on Supra's, the traction control still kicks in even if its off. So my friend took his completely removed it. and he told me that most cars do that. but i don't know if the G does so i'd rather take it off permenately.

The Vdc is more then traction control and does not completely turn of with the dash button. If you ever take a turn and get on the gas to quickly even with the vdc off you will sometimes see the slip light come on that means the car is braking which wheel it thinks it needs too to get the car in control again. Sometimes for a nonskilled drive this can be a good thing but for someone who is trying to learn the limits of there car it's a pain. So after some searching I found that if you disconect the yaw senor or g sensor (under the center console) if you will, it will complete shut down the vdc but still keeps full function of your abs. What I did though was install a switch in my console so i can turn off the vdc completely then if I need it like when it rains or someone else is driving I can restart the car with the switch off and it's like stock after that. I hope that made sense let me know if not. Kirk

Take a look below, this is the only way to completely kill all traction control without compromising the ABS functionality.

Also take a read in this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/drivetr...-vdc-real.html

Thats where I got my idea I will take a picture of my center console with the switch it's the same as unplugging it just a lot easier to turn it back on. I did check my switch it does work you can turn it off instantly but you can't turn it back on unless you turn the car off and on.

I WANT! Totally cool. VDC is such a drag on the track. Although, so far simply pressing the button to 'turn it off' before each session has stopped it from kicking in while cornering.. but I'd like to know that it's totally dead and won't pop up at inopportune moments. Post up a write up with a pic or two!

There's always the KP Technologies VDC-off memory module that's been around for quite a while ... new and improved it appears and does the same thing as the post domenic linked to, except electronically instead of pulling a plug:

The way I look at is if I am going to take the time to take the console out might as well install the switch at the same time. Very easy and the way I have it mounted in my center console is very slick looks like it came that way. If I had my car I would snap some pics for you guys. The great thing about the switch is you can turn the VDC back on any time. Speaking of the track I have heard people with the vdc button pushed in still were over heating the brakes because the computer was using the brakes to control tire spinning/tire speed. But once they installed the switch or unhooked the G sensor they weren't over heating the brakes anymore. Good luck and happy drifting/racing hehe.
