AUX Jack Installed?

I am new to these forums but I have read the relevant threads on this topic. I am just hoping for a little more help.

I am wanting to add an AUX jack to my 2006 g35 sedan with BOSE sound system.

I read that this is possible but today i went down to Car Toys and they tried to sell me a hardwired FM modulator which is what I don't want.

I read the "how to" and even though I could probably pull it off I would prefer the option of having a professional do it.

I read about Custom Concepts in Allen but I just wondered if anyone else has had this done and where they went to get it installed in the DFW area.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I actually work for Cartoys (sorry I'm not in sales, but can still help you out as I have 19 yrs experience with car audio) and also drive a G. I know of at least two aftermarket adapters off the top of my head that you can use if you're wanting to connect an iPod or any MP3 player w/3.5mm jack.

Here they are for your reference:

PAC - AAI-NIS2

USA Spec - PAII-NIS

I used the PAC part when I first got my car and have since changed out the head unit. I'm not sure of the pricing, but I've seen these in the stores and know they can definitely be ordered. Send me a PM if you have any more questions.

I have the USA Spec PAII-NIS which allows me to connect my ipod, control it through the OEM radio, and charges.

There is a wire that connects to the back of the OEM radio into the CD Changer port which connects to a small receiver box which also has auxiliary inputs. Iirc the auxiliary ports are RCA left/right connectors but I'm sure you can just use an adapter to change those to a 3.5mm female plug.

Then there is another wire that comes from the receiver box that runs to my center console where my ipod connects. I still have manual control over the ipod or I can FFW/RWD and skip tracks using the OEM radio buttons.

I have the exact same thing, plus the little modulator as well that dampens the engine noise (if you don't get it, you'll hear a high pitched whine as you accellerate during quiet parts of the song).. I got mine at cartoys off of 75 and Park/Parker.
