Dealer in Milwaukee did it before I moved down here. Getting the new block approved was a piece of cake, its all the BS Ive been dealing with the past 6 months with the dealership and Consumer Affairs.
It started leaking oil a few weeks ago so I contacted Affairs again telling them I thought it was coming from around the oil pan. Did a little research and its prob coming from the O ring on the oil cooler cuz they prob used the old O ring when they put it on the new block. They say go to a dealer for a diagnosis... Went to Grubbs, they faxed the diagnosis to Infiniti... keep emailing them asking how longs its gonna take to decide WTF they want to do. They keep emailing me back with the same paste and copy BS email saying I need to go to the dealership. Calling them after work tonight and bit(hing the sh't out of them. I have a new O ring at home but 1. I dont know if thats where its leaking, 2. Why should I fix their f*ck up 6 months after I get the new motor? Ive been checking my oil every day, its leaking pretty good.. last thing I want to do is seize up the damn thing!!!

SO fe'd up with the bullsh*t from Crest. Apparently my service advisor, Troy was wrong when he told me Nissan ordered me a long block. Not only does that seem shady/unfair but when i tried to see troy today they told me he was busy. Yet, as i was leaving i caught him by surprise and asked to clarify weather or not they had ordered me a long or short block. It was obvious that he wasn't expecting to see me (despite NEVER answering my phone calls). told me he was "sorry" and that Nissan said they couldn't warranty a long block. Will be following up on him.
Funny thing is.. I had my exhaust and exact same modifications on my car while they replaced my short block last time. Didnt seem to be a problem there...
I am burning oil because i need to replace the upper half of the motor. I already have a new block with less than 6,000 miles. Nissan must have a huge wooden pole up their *** to think ANOTHER short block will fix the problem. Seriously, do you have to be that dumb? tech my heads and upper motor is causing the bad compression and therefore im still going to burn oil.
I told them that i dont mind visiting the dealership every 3,500 miles to get a new short block. They provide a one year warranty on the short block.
