[DFW] What have you done to your G Today?

O2 sensors go bad. Not a terrible thing to replace. If that doesn't fix the problem, its one less thing you have to worry about for a good while. You'll want to clear the code though. Which if you just clear the code, you should be OK long enough to get the inspection done

he cleared the code for me but as stephen just said, the car has to be driven for a certain amount of miles till its fully cleared.. the guy told me 80.
Chris, whats the chance you're free tomorrow? I'll be up there at that Discount Tire. At least i hope so.. some how my tires got lost and they shipped out another pair.

you cant because once you clear codes is clears the readiness monitors as well. You require 60-80 miles for all of those codes to recalculate. trust me...I cleared mine before I went and got inspected and drove around for 30-40 miles and came back and only 3 had registered and the other 3 were still trying to recalibrate before the machine would even start to check.

Just take a look and feel everything out before you get started so you dont get stuck in the middle of a job. During the weekend its tuff to find special tools. German cars require s big 18 point tool to pull some of the stuff off just cant remember which parts and oh of course they have bolts instead of lugs
