I finally finished up the install on my boss' Porsche GT3. he let me off work early so I could work on it. Installed a new AVIC system, also his the MIC and GPS so it looked factory. I was scared to pull everything apart but it worked out well in the end, just took like 10 hours.
My last car (Acura RSX) was an auto because I couldn't drive a stick at the time... I regretted it the entire time I owned the car (3 years). I cant stress how much more fun driving a stick is than an auto, it really is a night and day difference IMO in the driving experience.
I had a buddy teach me on his car (manual Honda civic) any chance that we had. I would say after about 2 months of driving his car whenever he would let me I started to feel really comfortable with the clutch, shifting through the gears, and rev matching. I can say, however, that it was NOT fun at first, and very very frustrating when you stall multiple times in a row and at red lights + stop signs. Very embarrassing.
Then I found the 6sp G I wanted and drove it away from the dealership that night... the clutch on a G was extremely more difficult than his Honda. Honestly, I think the G clutch is harder to get used to than anything else I have ever driven to this day. It is very picky and it will let you know.
However, getting a manual was seriously the best decision I have ever made car-wise. Once you become comfortable driving it, it becomes second nature and you don't even think about it. The experience is definitely worth the failures at the beginning. You will love it Chris!

I am slightly little bit drinking so I have an offer for anyone that would learn to drive a manual. If you have any sort of FORCED INDUCTION POWER ADDER then I will trade you my vehicle for as long as you want to learn how to drive a manual. After you return it to me you will need to supply me for FREE a JWT clutch kit from IPP and labor for acidjake for a new clutch install. Let me know if anyone is interested in the trade. Also I need a back seat for my kids car seat so keep that in mind
