Can y'all help me out by going to this link http://www.nwmotiv.com/inmotion-voting/ and voting for my car? There is going to be a big show up here and the top 5 get a "premier" spot and some free stuff. Look for this pic.. you have to hit "like" to vote and you can only vote once. Share tos with your friends please!

Not sure if it's the link or what, but I don't see your ride on that site anywhere.

The site is kind of shitty. Were you able to get to the page that actually shows the cars to vote for? I should be the first page, 3rd row down, 2nd from the left.. Either way, thanks for trying!

Cool beans. Thanks for your help. Do you remember how many votes I had at the time? The website isn't working on my work computer...

I was vote #8... I think you're right at 5th place from a quick glance. A Z is in the lead with 20 votes and an STI with 17 or 18.

Yeah, the Z is a guy from group up here. But I'm new to the group so he gets all their votes lol. His Z is a freaking beast though! It's a TT setup pushing 750 hp! And the dude has a LS1 in a 240SX.. or one of those older Nissans. Last I counted, I had 7 votes which put me in 6th. The voting lasts until the 26th though so there's still a lot of time. Hopefully all my FB friends can come together to help me get in the top 5!

I still need all the votes I can get. I'm tied for 4th right now! It only takes 2 minutes!

Today I'm going to be installing my MREV2, repolished upper plenum and new spark plugs in prep for my dyno tune tomorrow. And I just happened to find a DIY for painting the valve covers today so I figure I'm going to have it stripped all the way down to valve cover anyways, might as well. Just thought I'd ask if anyone has any tips/tricks/advice for removing the valve cover. Looks pretty straight forward but I just wanted to check.

a few things for you.. if you do end up pulling them make sure you clean off all the oil really well before doing anything. I suggest using simple green followed up by some soapy water. After everything is all dry, tape up the bottom and the insides where the sparkplug tubes go, you really don't want any paint on the inside. You should use a plastic adhesive promoter before painting, just spray it on like its spray paint. Let everything dry for a day at least a day before messing with it.

The diy by tollbothwilly just had like 10 minutes between coats and said to apply paint within 10 minutes then to let dry for atleast 3 hours.. if it needs to sit for a day I don't have time for it today.

1 thing to add is whenever replacing the valve covers back on be sure to not pinch the new gaskets when installing back into place...once pinched they are no good anymore. you will have to use alittle muscle or un-bolt most of the wiring harness around the engine to make it where its lose enough to pull off the valve covers. The back passenger corner bolts are pretty tough to get to and the OEM Wiring harness has a bracket on the backside of the engine that holes the harness in place along with a big black plastic cover that protects that area. Personally I have always just broken that black plastic cover off because it gets in the way. the valve covers have to be wiggled out unless the wiring harness and fuel line stuff is moved out of the way.
