Indeed, it could have been a lot worse. I actually sped up slightly right before she hit me which caused me to get hit square in the wheel (as versus the door). I would MUCH rather have the wheel be damaged than the door which would probably never shut the same again. It just sucks seeing all of my hard work go to shiet in a matter of seconds.

^ I like this guy.. Like me, he only sees opportunity in the situation haha... Tony, I was thinking the same exact thing about the wheels.

well too bad with the insurance will only pay 125 to have the wheel fixed. Only luck on that is not to fix the bumper and buff off the scruff and use the money to buy them. Hard to tell from pics if insurance will actually pay to replace or fix bumper. Good luck with the insurance

you can also cash out on the insurance and use the $$ towards the fix (the way YOU want it done though)

looks like its time for some R1 action ...PC the rims and buff out that bumper..

Bet drone can do it too like he did Wills. Might save ya some cash and put it towards PC'ing the rims...

I have no intention of PC'ing the wheels at this point. I will push the issue as hard as I can with the adjuster and explain that I simply do not feel comfortable driving a car that has a wheel that has been hit. I can not trust the integrity of it. And since it was her fault, I feel that I am justified in asking for a new wheel.

As for the bumper - no aftermarket bumper for me. I will hopefully get it buffed and cleaned up. It really didn't move at all. There is a very VERY small separation at the top on the side, but it is so small that it might have already been there (I'm not sure).

I have heard numerous people rave about how great the claims service is with USAA - I guess I finally get to find out if it is everything that it's cracked up to be.
