How do you restore this...

Hi fellow G owners,

Sorry if this question has already been discussed somewhere in this forum, but does anyone know how to properly fix the following problem. Please see picture. This is the same for both sides of the car. I've tried an adhesive spray but it didn't perform well - lasted only a week or so.
Thanks for any input.

mask off surrounding area and spray the desired area w/3M spray adhesive. re-stick and tuck, tape off edges while drying. peel off all the tape, BAM! done

Which spray adhesive did you use?

You can try bringing it to any upholstery shop and they should be able to fix it for cheap. Theres actually heavier sprays that arent aerosol that they use. If you have a spray gun you can order it online.

I forgot the name but I got the spray adhesive from a local auto store (Autozone or Oreilly's) - I pulled it back and sprayed then firmly tucked it in but I didn't use tape (as suggested above) or cleaned out the old adhesive prior to spraying the new adhesive. It worked for like 1-2 weeks max then started to peel off again. That was over a year ago and now there's much more peeling so I think the whole surface need a new layer of adhesive. I am thinking of asking the dealer about it but you know how that goes.

Thanks for the info guys.

It will be cheaper to goto an upholster. I wouldnt mess with the dealership. Next thing you know they will need to put a whole new door liner on there.

haha true. I was thinking of just ripping it off, the plastic isn't too bad looking. Kinda reminds me of the s14 I had before, but this is an infiniti. If there's anyone local who has experience doing this before, I would reimburse them for their work. I'll have to find an upholster otherwise.

Or you can just rip out the bad and suede a new door panel in. I plan on putting blue microsuede in that portion of the door when i do my headliner.

I've seen the suede thing done before. It looks nice but I just want to keep it basic like the original. My old lexus never had any peel...hmm infiniti :!
