Laser/Radar Jammers Soon to be Illegal in Texas

http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/tlodo...pdf#navpanes=0

The State is trying to pass a bill to make jammers illegal to use/buy/sell.

At least my 9500 escort won't be affected since it doesn't jam their lasers

Well there is already a nationwide law prohibiting people from tampering or messing up the rader/laser gun.

If you get speed and the cop shoots you and it comes back all funky like this ***** than the cop will know you had something and can give you a ticket for tampering with government property.

But yeah I hope this doesn't get passed because I was going to get the Escort 9500ci like in 3 weeks =(.

Good thing I already own one... Just don't have it installed.

Doubt it will get passed, but who knows. And cops don't know for sure. Most respond with no speed. Others respond with "Gun Error". These guns aren't perfect and sadly these are common issues. They simply try again or move on to the next target. I have many friends with a lot of experience with them. PLUS, the jammers are perfect either. If a smart cop knows where to hit the car, they can still get you even if you have jammers.

Yep, smart cop. They do exist. Plus the jammer is intended to give you a quick chance to slow down so the cop CAN get a good reading off of you that's not speeding

suckity suck. Yeah, I hope this doesn't make it through, but unless it's attached to something dumb, I can't imagine it not passing. This has been the case for radar for quite a while already. It's been something of a loophole for laser, so they're just trying to close that up.
