Yea last time i checked, they werent classifying it as one. Mayb they changed it. They do like making laws without telling anyone. While i was in stl they have changing speedlimits on the same hwy. The signs are digital so they can change them. I wonder how that works when getting a ticket

Ouch sorry about your bad luck =(. Also for the traffic ticket hire a traffic ticket lawyer. Trust me it will do you a lot of good. I did 30 over the limit hired a lawyer and haven't heard anything yet and all I had to pay was $40 out of pocket.

you should call the county court where you got the ticket and check the status.

Thats not a good enough answer. It should be a definite, yes or no on the "its resolved and no warrant".

After reading this whole thread, I think you all should lawyer up as a group. You'd probably get the whole thing reduced. Really should talk to a lawyer together. Be a better fight that way. Yes, they could have screwed you, but "making up" a speed limit does not fly in TX and you can fight that EASILY. Worst case scenario, only one of you gets tagged and I think splitting even a $200 ticket 6 ways ain't bad.

^ yes, Chris is right.
The cop cannot just guesstimate your speed and write you a speeding ticket, it has to be clocked on their radar, to prove in court. Without that, you have a good chance to fight and win in court.
I think, thats the case for Blake.

+1

btw i thought a cop needs to have radar confirmation before he makes you pull over and gives you a ticket. The cop has to have the person getting the ticket sign a digital screen which states you confirm the speed u were traveling at the time of the radar/laser.

the bad part about all of this is that he asked specifically how fast we were going..didnt even right down on the ticket....he used his threats and intimidation to over-power us and his authority to make us commit to a speed. I dont know how/when he caught up to rob and them but if they were not speeding he was going off the radio traffic that the CELINA Cop stated he heard....what was said in the radio traffice was some g's in the back roads on *** going fast...something along the lines of that.
