Bought The Skyline
Well, I flew down to Florida today and test drove an R33 GTR. Also at the shop was an R32 GTR, R32 GTS-T, R33 GTS-T and 2 Pulsar GTI-R's. After driving it and seeing it I went for it. It is a 1995 Silver R33 GTR V-Spec with 30,400 miles on it. Totally stock, except for an aftermarket exhaust. Lots of potential with that motor.
The car should ship out the week after Thanksgiving from Florida to the Bahamas, and then back from the Bahamas in another 10 to 14 days. Once in the States it will be rebuilt and shipped to Dallas. It should take about 2 to 4 months depending a lot on weather and free time Project 7 Tuning has to rebuild it. So look for it to be hitting the streets in Late December to Early January. I'll keep everyone informed and post pics of all the cars I saw while I was down there.

These are some pics of the Skylines I went to take a look at. All of the ones in the pics have already been sold. The Silver one in the Pics is the closest thing to what I bought. The only difference in mine and that one are the wheels, the fact that it is a V-Spec and mine has less miles than that one. They are both very clean cars and it was quite a sight to see these cars up close.

I'm going to go with no on that one. This little gem will get what we like to call, power modifications. As it sits the car runs about 7.5 psi (detuned for the Japanese market). The turbos are good for up to 14 psi (they have ceramic exhaust housings and crack beyond that). The motor is good for 22+ psi. So, priority one, air filters. Number 2, boost controller and push it up to 11 or 12 psi. Priority 3, exhaust. Last Clutch and Flywheel. So if you break down the cost to gains on all of that, you are looking at about 60+ AWD hp for under $3000. Not a bad way to start. so before I even touch the car it will get to my doorstep with 315+ to the wheels.
The car, stock, runs a 14 flat quarter so that will put me comfortably in the low 13's.
After that work is done my next priority is to get some really great Hi flow GT series ball bearing turbos to replace the stockers. Then up the boost to about 18 or 19 psi and that will lay down about 350 to 370 AWD hp.
The rest will be tuning and minor other modifications, but I will probably throw in the towel on modifications at about 400 AWD hp.
I STILL NEED OPINIONS ON LICENSE PLATES!!!!!!!!!

Dave,
What are you doing on Dec 10th? There's a Project Nissan meet that day. The guys over there I've known for years, and they can import a lot of stuff for Skylines.
