DFW autox season is starting back up
Hey all.
The DFW autox season is about to start up, and I thought I'd invite you all out.
I used to autox a Camaro several years ago in the Austin area. I also did a few events around the country in rental cars when I was traveling for work I just started back up last year in the DFW area with the G, and by far, the Mineral Wells venue and DFW autox clubs offer the best that I've seen in terms of seat time and course design.
The first autox weekend of the year is feb 18-19. Family is coming in, so I won’t be able to make it out that weekend. The S2000 club is holding an event on Saturday and Equipe Rapide is holding one on Sunday. Both events are at the Mineral Wells airport. Each event costs around $35 for the day. I can’t comment on the other venues that these clubs use, but the Mineral Wells airport is nice and open. Unfortunately, it’s really far for some.
Here’s a run down of the area clubs:
1. Porsche club - http://mav.pca.org/mav/
Get at least 8 runs. Get classed with all other Japanese cars.
2. BMW club - http://www.lscbmwcca.org/
Get at least 8 runs. Only 2 classes to choose from based on
displacement and tires (street or race).
3. S2000 club - http://www.s2000.org/nts2koc/autox.shtml
Get at least 8 runs. Only 2 classes to choose from based on
tires (street or race).
4. SCCA - http://autocross.com/texasregion/
Get around 3-4 runs. SCCA classes FS, DS, ESP, SM or STX for us.
There’s also a paxed street tire version of FS, DS, ESP and SM.
SCCA rules and classing can be found at:
http://www.scca.org/_filelibrary/Fil...solo_rules.pdf.
5. Equipe Rapide - http://autocross.com/er/
Get around 3-4 runs. SCCA classes FS, DS, ESP, SM or STX for us.
There’s also a paxed street tire version of FS, DS, ESP and SM.

OUCH!!!! The pain. LMAO. Well the update post on the Skyline clearly stated that there was fender damage the repairs were currently under way on that matter. But yes I should be picking that thing up. It almost seems like it's been so damn long since I first mentioned this that I'm like lying to you guys to string you along as long as possible. BUT I have tons and tons and tons of pics of the car the motor and most of all THE DAMAGE to at least back my story up a little bit.
As for man-thongs.....that was a dark day in my past and will never be repeated as long as I am sober and physically able to prevent it from happeneing. Whatever happens after a case of beer does NOT I repeat does NOT count.
