Cracked Windshield

So yeah, I was going home after my classes and was all happy that my Hawk HPS brake pads just got in today when suddenly something hits my windshield. I look over and see a spider crack, then milliseconds later it spread to a foot long crack! I am so pissed right now because I wasn't even driving fast or tailgating anybody. Now it looks like I'm gonna have to have the whole windshield replaced. Anybody have any recommendations on where to get it replaced and how much? Please let me know ASAP because this crack looks horrible on the car.

Dude some of those mobile wind repair guys do great work. My roommate had one of those guys replace his windshield on his Lexus and they did a great job. Quite impressive. Despite how complex you would imagine a mobile windshield repair being, the price is actually pretty fair.

Damn that sucks bro! Sometimes you get lucky and you can fill the small crack before it spiders, unfortunately you weren't so lucky.

I don't know of any places that do windows since I'm still new to the area ... the windshield on my last car cost about $350 to replace.

the new windshield is working great. almost 2 years and no problems at all. i would definitely say the quality is on par with oem. i used richardson auto glass in haltom city, but they came out to my apt to replace the windshield.

however, the windshield for my dad's tl was just replaced in november by the same guys and the quality is noticeably worse than oem. i can definitely see horizontal lines on the windshield. i hope you get a good piece of glass.

I had my windshield replaced twice on my old car (95 maxima) and it was about $180-90 each time, but the shop was in Austin. Mohawk are you currently going to TCU?

it's just my policy. my deductible is too high to go through the insurance company.
