I didn't see any specific on their site. I wonder if they were talking about a torque convertor mod. If you can get more specifics, I'd be gratefull to review the info! Us auto guys need to find away around our torque management crap!

Beware of SGP, I have talked to shops that have sent things to them to be rebuild or upgraded and they get the same part back with no internal work done. Just a heads up do as you want with your money.

Okay. Since I had my stockers on (215-55-17 RSAs), I thought I try a burnout again. I just stopped in the middle of the road near my house, VDC off and brake launched. Long burnout with ease. Good to know my car wasn't down on power. The 245-4-19 RE050s must have massive grip!

This time I braked and mashed the pedal. The RPM won't really rise above 3k from what I saw. So it was mash and let go of the brake about 1 sec later. This resulted in a small and feeble chirp of the 245-40-19 re050s But it's the best launch I've done so far. This is with the VDC off. But the slip light still blinked when I chirped the tires. Odd

Is there any way you can be more specific?? What does your invoice say about the tranny mod? Any reference to any TCM work on it? If you are in good standing with them, can you contact them and inform us what they say? Thanks

I thought shift points were controlled in the ECU? Technosquare adjusted mine, and they didn't touch my tranny.

BTW, I want to get a SGP valvebody. Should I?

Odd, I emailed TS and they weren't able to even access the TCM much less change any parameters in it. Can you explain what they did? And how your trann shifts now??

i don't have a G yet but I am surprised at the high 60ft times of these RWD cars.

I pulled a 2.1 60ft on street tires in my FWD SRT-4 and on slicks I pulled a 1.8xx

I am planning on getting a SEdan whenever my SRT-4 sells. It is a hard decision to get rid of.....385whp and over 400ft/lbs tq. But NO traction in 1 and 2 and sometimes the first part of 3rd on street tires.

I have a 300ZX but it is non turbo and not all that fast but I am a Nissan fanboy an look forward to the combo of speed/luxury of the G.

Good luck on getting a better launch....I'll be watching.

The autos have some sort of torque management programming that appears to limit power until about 3000rpms therefore it slows the 60 foot done a bit. If the TM programming wasn't there, I'm certain my mostly stock auto could pull 2.0s vs it's typical 2.1s.

As for the 6MTs, they're just very hard to launch just like most any other RWD car with an independant suspension. Live axle F-Bodies and Stangs are much easier to launch. On slicks, a G35 6MT should have no problems pulling 1.8s and even 1.7s.
