True, elevation does play into it, but I have seen other G35's at Cecil with more stuff done than me and running like crap because of a bad driver. The night I was down there running 14.05 @ 102.3 stock two years ago, there was a guy with another 6-spd coupe that had headers, test pipes, exhaust, UD pulleys, intake, plenum, spacer etc and he was running 14.2 @ 100 all night. He couldn't believe the times I was pulling. I shrugged and said "sorry" lol.

^^^ not just elevation, but ambient temps too...

you comparing times with other people at that track (like you did) makes perfect sense... that's why I think a thread like this should be categorized... it's not realistic to do it by track - so by confirmed DA makes the most sense.

Otherwise - its just a bunch of numbers that really doesn't mean anything...

Yeah I'm surrounded by a ton of tracks that are 500ft or less elevation lol. Cecil and MIR seem to be the ones to get the best times.

Maple Grove, PA - 525ft
Cecil County, MD - 320ft
Capitol, MD - 120ft
MIR, MD - 100ft
Atco, NJ - 90ft
Englishtown, NJ - 55ft

Cecil is a fast track......that is all. I usually run .08-.10 quicker there than other local tracks.....about .5-.7mph quicker as well.

Good times man. I plan on going back one of these nights for test and tune if we ever get a little 'cool' front come through. You up that way often?
^^
Back in December I took my bone stock '09 G37 coupe 13.73@103.43. Well the car was only 1 month old and had just under 1500 miles - not to mention not only being my first time at the track with this car, I got there so late I only could get 2 runs in as-well. So I honestly felt things could get a little better. Well excuses aside I went back with just over 5000 miles on the clock 2 weeks ago on a nice 60 degree night down at the same test and tune night over a PBIR. Still all stock - tires and all.

1st run:

1/4 Mile ET: 13.690
1/4 Mile MPH: 103.90
1/8 Mile ET: 8.898
1/8 Mile MPH: 80.72
0-60 Foot ET: 2.089

2nd run:

1/4 Mile ET: 13.619
1/4 Mile MPH: 104.21
1/8 Mile ET: 8.813
1/8 Mile MPH: 81.12
0-60 Foot ET: 2.098

3rd run:

1/4 Mile ET: 13.544
1/4 Mile MPH: 105.03
1/8 Mile ET: 8.751
1/8 Mile MPH: 82.09
0-60 Foot ET: 2.047

All my launches were right at 3900-4100rpm.

Pretty stoked with what a stock G37s can do! 104 and 105mph traps is a lot of fun in this car.

I'll post the time slips when someone updates the damn list. Holla.

What was the DA?

Not too long ago I ran a 13.8@104-105 during test n tune with the same mods minus the MREV2 on street tires. Stock exhaust? I think you should have ran faster on your n/a runs especially with ET streets and your mods.

It's was cold around 55 °F and yes with the stock exhaust. I was hoping for a high 13 with my na mods and a high 12 with the 100 shot. I went a couple weeks befor with the old motor and only with the intake, test pipes and a 75 shot. Ran a 13.266 at 105.6 and NA ran a 14.013 at 100.2

NNNNICE. Sounds like my old Sedan...No matter what I threw at it the damn car would not hit the 13s....14.00 on one run at almost 101...too...lol. Same mods on my 05 Coupe + Stillen Exhaust and 13.8 at almost 103....

Sounds like all 100 funny gas horsies are making it to your rear wheels. I guess these things love the laughing gas. congrats.

Quick follow up...Just looked at your slips...

You basically ran a 2.2 60' time on your first run and then a 1.95 on your second run.

Did you launch the same? Same M/T Drag Radials? Did you hit the N2O off the line?

Just the 60' time difference would have been a 13.6-13.7 at the other end. The 8 MPH trap speed pick up shows the N20, but again...just curious where your 60' times are soooooo good on run 2 and normal G times for the 1st run.

Thanks Bro The first ran was all NA, Lauched at about 4K with tire pressure at 25 psi. The only NA pass of the night I got 9 runs total. I got 8 passes with the 100 shot in the 13.0 to 13.2 range.

'04.5 Premium/Performance 5AT Coupe,Street Tires(Eagle GT-28psi),N/A,Mission Raceway Park, Mission,BC,Canada

14.333@96.13mph,2.385 60',.277rt D/A calculated -169'

At the time mods were Stillen ZTube&Airbox,MD 5/16,Timing+2*,GordG 10 wire,FI non-resonated pipes. Since then I've added an U/R underdrive crank,cat-back and Uprev. With a better rt and the new mods I figure 13.7 or so is within reach.

Major coffee spill incident but I managed to save the slip, barely,I had to touch it up a bit for clarity.

I don't know how many times this needs to be stated........r/t does NOTHING to effect ET. That being said, looking forward to the results with your new mods.

e/t AFFECTSr/t when you're sleeping at the light and the guy beside you is 30' down the track.

1st time at the track and I went from a 1st run .856 e/t to a best of .232 before the night was out. I was going up against t's & tt's the whole time so mostly I lost but by my 3rd race I was treeing almost everyone, even experienced racers. I even raced a friend in his GTR-35...which he should have in 10sec range this year.
