I beat an STi twice.

So is it normal if I beat an older STi 2 times consecutively at the track? He looked pretty stock to me.

I had insane reaction times on both runs ( 0.005 and 0.009) his reaction times were in the 0.240 areas.

My 60ft was 2.4 for both runs and his were 2.0 for both.

First run i got the big jump on him and at the very end he was pulling on me pretty good.. Second run I got the jump on him and pulled the whole way.

So should I be beating an STi?

I have a crawford plenum, fujita intake and x02 true dual exhaust.. He was stock i'm assuming.

He should be pulling on you until triple digit speeds... which you probably BARELY see on the drag strip...

Well the track I go to is an extremely slow track.. maybe it affected him more than me.. His 60ft was good because of AWD.

Maybe he was a WRX badged as an STi? He had all the STi badges and vinyls in all the right areas.

No doubt the STi is faster.. but maybe because I was modded and he was stock I beat him.. He also had a passenger with him.

Since he's awd he probably lost more power at the wheels.

STi 300 HP/300TQ

G35 287HP/270TQ-with my mods I probably match him at the crank

He probably weighed more.

You probably beat the driver.

Everytime I've raced a stock STi/EVO, which by the way its rare to race one stock, they out-launched me and pulled on me until 80 MPH. After 80mph, I was slowly creeping up on them but not enough time/lenght to catch them up. This was when I had only an intake + spacer.

.

The STI driver needs some help. My friend's with stock STI's were pulling 1.75-1.80 60 foots. That was good enough to net them 13.2-13.4. Pull a 2.0 60' in an STI and you're looking at higher 13s in decent weather.

2.4 60 foot is horrid dude, i get like 1.8X on my KDW2's work on that and you will be faster. And the wrx must have been shifting 1-3-5 gears, cause i could take a WRX faster than a G without 2nd and 4th, horrid driver. Ive lost to many an STI with ~1.80 60 foots.

you're allowed to run with passengers at your track? At the tracks I goto, passengers aren't allowed to sit inside
